Program Officer, Leadership and Public Interaction
As the Leadership and Public Interaction Program Officer, Gina Beltran is responsible for developing leadership initiatives, coordinating public events, and contributing to sound governance through research and evaluation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she was Visiting Scholar in Latin American Studies at the University of Toronto from 2013 to 2015. She holds a PhD in Latin American Literature from the University of Toronto and, in 2009, she received the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Doctoral Scholarship granted by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. She has lectured on literary studies, Latin American literature, and Caribbean performance, and has published internationally on these and other topics. She sits in the editorial board of a literary magazine and volunteers as a translator for arts and education groups.
She also holds a B.A. in English from York University and an M.A. from the Centre for Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto.
