Double the value of your gift

About the McCall MacBain Foundation Match Challenge

To encourage the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation’s alumni and friends to support the Foundation’s mission and continued sustainability, the McCall MacBain Foundation has committed to a generous Match Challenge for $2 million.

The Match Challenge will provide 1:1 matching on all gifts made in cash (not in-kind). Eligible donations include single or recurring gifts at any level and bequests. To be counted toward the Match Challenge, gifts must be received (not merely pledged) during the Match Challenge Period, between 1 February 2013 and 31 August 2021, or until the $2 million limit is reached, whichever occurs sooner.

Donors may support the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and be eligible for matching funds in any of the following ways:

  • Cash gifts—the simplest and easiest gift you can make—can be made by credit card or cheque, as well as by wire transfer.

  • Gifts of publicly-traded securities and art work (which the Foundation will sell upon receipt) — the net proceeds of the assets’ sale price will be counted toward the Match Challenge.

  • Recurring gifts received during the Match Challenge Period can help sustain your impact through regular and consistent contributions. You can set up your credit card to be charged a desired amount at your stated frequency.

  • Corporate matching gifts – many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees and their families. If your company offers such a program, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest.
